Gary L Street is a true child of the 50's. He also is a lover of the mountains, the people who live in and around the mountains, and the words that describe them. A hiker, photographer, husband and father. He has written poetry and prose of the many things that bring passion and emotions to the people he sees. As an outside salesman for 40 years allowed him to travel and meet a great cross-section of people in their many walks of life, especially in his home region. Upon retirement, Gary has found a passion for writing. His novels all have a setting in the East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Southwest Virginia areas where the history, the land, and the people are rich in traditions and heritage. Novels include "Beyond the Majestic", "Guarding Buffalo", and Cloudland: Where the Flowers Touch the Cloud". The stories he writes creates characters that demonstrate the power of the human spirit as they face life in good and difficult times. Gary lives with his wife, Nancy, in Johnson City, Tennessee. Their two sons are living very large lives in the Great State of Texas.
